Pastoral Family Counseling Services Brochure
The Process
1. Call one of the approved counselors and set up an appointment.
2. Identify yourself as a pastor, spouse or immediate family member of the Penn York (PY) District of the Wesleyan Church.
3. Establish the fee with the counselor. The PY District will cover 80% of the counseling costs. The pastoral family is responsible for the remaining 20%. If you have health insurance, and the counselor you see accepts insurance, the insurance company should be charged first. The PY District will then cover 80% of your “out of pocket” cost.
4. The district’s contribution will not exceed $1,500 lifetime per pastoral family member (pastor, spouse, dependents). Special consideration will be made beyond this amount, by the District Superintendent, for emergency situations.
5. Counselors will confidentially bill the PY District directly:
*Number of pastoral families counseled
*Number of hours counseling was provided
*Cost of counseling to the PY District
6. Names of those counseled will not be released to the PY District unless the pastoral family releases the information voluntarily.
