Leveraging AI in the Church: A Balanced Perspective

Presenter: Pastor Justin Bowersox (CityHope)
AI is rapidly changing how we communicate, create, and lead—but how should the Church respond? In this seminar, we’ll explore the potential of AI to support ministry efforts—from sermon prep to administrative tasks—while also addressing the ethical, spiritual, and practical pitfalls leaders must navigate. Together, we’ll seek wisdom on how to use these tools with discernment, integrity, and a pastor’s heart.

The Resilient Pastor: Grounded in Identity, Rooted in Love, Secure in Approval

Presenter: Rev. John Opalewski, Founder and CEO of Converge
If a pastor needs anything… he or she needs resilience. John Opalewski, founder of Converge Coaching, will walk us through two key discoveries:
1. In today’s pastoral landscape, the call for resilience is louder—and more necessary—than ever.
2. The true foundation of resilience.

Luke 3:21-22 – “You are My son, Whom I love; with You I am well-pleased.”

Three Pillars of Resilience: Identity, Affection, Approval

John’s powerful story of his journey through and recovery from major depression as a young pastor of a growing church lends power, practicality, and authenticity to the clarion call of building an inner life able to withstand the external pressure of leadership.

Beating Isolation and Loneliness

Presenters: District Huddle Leaders Rev. Don Grant (Hillview), Rev. Kyle Pollen (Warren)
Solitude is a spiritual discipline; isolation is a spiritual danger. Let’s discuss how our reaction to periods of loneliness and isolation can make all the difference.

Resources for Discipling Dads

Presenter: Rev. Jay Trainer, PY District Co-Men’s Ministry Leader
This workshop equips dads with practical tools and biblical resources to grow as disciples of Christ and disciple other fathers with confidence and clarity. Whether you’re being mentored, mentoring others, or doing both, you’ll gain encouragement and guidance for leading your family and investing in the lives of other men.

Disability Ministry – Reaping the Harvest: Creating a Ministry of Inclusion

Presenter: Rev. Tammie Swaney
Inclusion is not a dirty word. Not in the context of how Jesus wants us to live. “And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.” (1 Corinthians 13:13).

How do churches find hearts to explore inclusion options when adopting a ministry for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities? What does that ministry look like? It may look different than our imaginations will allow. It will look different than the church next door or just over the hill. It may be held at your church—or maybe not.

Ministering to the IDD community is a mission field waiting for us to reap the harvest.

Church Multiplication Seminars

Each One Reach One

Presenter: Dr. Richard Cox (Overflow), PY District Southeast Area Multiplication Leader
How do you reach one million people? One person at a time. The Bible is clear that every follower of Jesus is a missionary with a mission field. This training will equip you to empower everyday followers of Jesus to do ministry where they live, work, and play. You will be equipped to shift from a “we can do it, you can help” to a “you can do it, we can help” mindset in your church.

Penn York District Church Multiplication Updates

Presenters: PY District Area Multiplication Leaders / Plant Pastors
Come and hear updates on our recent district church plants and multiplication efforts and also our new works started in 2024–25.
